Photos from Baghdad
J.M. Simpson sent us these photos this week. For more, pick up a copy of the Fort Lewis Ranger newspaper – on newsstands throughout the South Puget Sound area.

SFC Bran Rideout posts a sign on the gate of a home in Central Baghdad indicating that it has been searched and cleared of weapons.

“Tea Time”: Pfc. Bogar Montebello, Comanche Company, stirs his chai after the search of an Iraqi home.

“Art and War”: Pfc. Bogar Montebello, Comanche Company, stands and waits for an Iraqi man and his daughter to enter their home before searching it.

“Reading in Baghdad”: Cpl. Rusty Christian, Comanche Company, reads over a comic book that Iraqi children found entertaining.

MR. SIMPSON, THANKS FOR THE PICTURES. IT WAS SUCH AN OVERWHELMING FEELING TO SEE MY SON, CPL. RUSTY CHRISTIAN, READING TO THE CHILDREN. I AM SO PROUD OF HIM AND ALL OF THE GUYS. THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU ARE DOING. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH THIS MEANS TO THE FAMILIES BACK HOME.

J.M. Simpson, thanks for posting the comment my husband SGT. Miller wrote about me. It means so much to our family that you are over there allowing our soldiers to communicate to family back home. There is a lot of comfort and peace to not only the families but our troops. Thanks Again.
