Two 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) Soldiers
FORT LEWIS release– Two Special Forces Soldiers will be awarded the Silver Star medal on Wed., July 16 for combat action in Iraq.
Sgt. 1st Class Chad Kite, from Elkton, Va., and Staff Sgt. Chris Federmann, from Cincinnati, Ohio, will receive the award at 8:30 a.m., at the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) headquarters.
Kite and Federman will receive the award for their actions against enemy forces in Ad Diwaniyah, Iraq on June 3, 2007. While under intense enemy fire, without regard for their own safety, their actions prevented anti-Iraqi forces from overwhelming friendly positions, protecting the lives of coalition and Iraqi Security Forces.








Congrats brother on the silver star. I wish I could have been there. Good job.
