Well said, John. You've got a tough act to follow, coming after David Hardt like you are, but keep your comments and columns coming. There are many of us over here who want to know what the hell is really going on over there, hope you continue to tell it like it is.

Your pictures are great, too!

Personally, I could do without the Bush bashing. Just report the facts and leave it alone. This is one American who does not agree with you and I read this to hear what is going on with the bravest guys in the world, not for your political opinion.

I would appreciate your report more if you kept your feelings about the President and his policies to your self. I have had two sons serve in this war and both have said that it is impossible to find an objective reporter.

John,
I appreciate your blogs so much. My husband is with 2BN 23IN and I like seeing the pictures and hearing a little more detail. I agree that most Soldier's would never have to serve in Iraq to appreciate what they have at home. Most of there training keeps them away from home, so why would they need to go to War to understand how lucky they are?
Please keep the stories coming and if you ever get the chance , I hear the Recon teams are amazing, but that's just my preference. Thanks!
